[InfiniteUnity3D] Mechviewer TechDemo

This video shows a 3D viewer demo presenting huge war- robots walking on a planet surface. You can switch between 4 different mechs, textures and animations. The enviroment itself is is under heavy laser fire.

Used Unity3D features:
- bump, specular, diffuse and glowmaps.
- particle effects
- lens flares
- postglow
- dynamic data download

  1. That looks cool. Btw can i ask if the glow maps and post glow effects that you used. Are they part of the the basic unity3d or pro unity3d package?

  2. Hi Steve, agree it’s cool. Love the mechs & takes me back to the Mechwarrior 2 Multiplayer days; a favorite after-work game at Microsoft Games back when it was released! haha.

    This is actually a project from indie developer: Michael Kolasinski (no website apparently)

    Based on our experience, glow is a full-screen effect, meaning it requires Render Texture support; RT is Pro-Only! :)

    However, if you have pro, it is a “drop-in” effect; meaning if you have Unity Pro, you can quickly enable it and it “just works”.
