Make Bouncy Bouncy Version History
v1.2 _26-June-2008:
- New default gameplay mode: the core play mechanic has a completely new layer to it... Building up your bounce is even more explosive and rewarding! If you prefer the old mode, don't worry, it is still available (just click "Relax mode")!
- Levels now have bouncy objectives, bonus bounces, and score multipliers!
- Fine-tuned the physics to offer a more satisfying bounce when not making Bouncy Bouncys.
- Right Mouse Button / Down Arrow button quickly spins your bounce cube 180 degrees (This was cut during initial testing for input complexity issues, but has been restored by popular demand for your playing pleasure!)
- Added a new pad type, the Turn Pad. The Turn Pad will angle you towards it's arrow whenever you land on it.
- Added new levels to all Moods; the game now has over 35 levels in total! Will continue to release new levels (for free) for the life of the game.
- Added a feature to enhance the feeling of vertigo in some levels. To "hear it" in action, play the level "Firenze" in the Nervous mood (also appears in other key levels).
- Enhanced Mood Select functionality; now you can choose any unlocked level to play on + level previews.
- Demo users have a new free daily random level button in Mood Select; gives access to an otherwise demo-locked level & changes daily!
- Added ability to change game resolution to the Options screen; players no longer have to restart to change the game's resolution (old start-up dialog was removed).
- Input Sensitivity preference should now feel consistent across all game resolutions.
- Added notification to Options menu as to whether music is being streamed or not (for demo users).
- Setting the Effects volume to minimum, now mutes the Effects completely; previously Effects were slightly audible (very slightly).
- Added ability to check for new versions to the About dialog (licensed users only).
- Changes to the "Nervous" mood / demo levels for enhanced playability & appeal.
- Added on-screen help to the initial Demo levels (in addition to existing "tutorial" texts).
- Updated the sound used on Sink Pads to be more audible and satisfying.
- Refinements to the overall lighting & visual styling.
- Demo version now available as a Mac OS X Dashboard Widget!
- Future-proofed saving of player preferences; as a result, some settings may be reset & existing players may be asked to re-register their game (does not affect the player's total number of registrations).
- Resolved an issue where level shadows would disappear in some cases.
- Fixed a bug where the music volume would appear louder than expected while making Bouncy Bouncy.
- Fixed a bug where the music would sometimes not return after the game window lost and regained focus.
- Fixed a problem where the room color would sometimes not be restored properly after making Bouncy Bouncy.
- Minor tweak to logo splash screen behavior.
- Updated the game's core engine to the latest version; including enhanced performance on both Windows and Mac platforms! Game should be faster on most configurations.
- Known Issue: If using OSX 10.5.3 and have an ATI Radeon X1600, X1800, or X1900 video card (some G5s, early MacBook Pros & "core duo" iMacs, early Mac Pros), graphics corruption will appear (flickering shadows, etc.). This is a bug in OSX 10.5.3. To work around this in the game, set Options -> Graphics to "Simple"; this will reduce the corruption (though not fix it entirely). We're working with Apple to have this fixed ASAP.
v1.1 _13-Jan-2008:
- German language translation has been updated to make it more like German and less like gibberish :)
- Minor tweaks to the "Nervous" mood / demo levels to make them easier and more enjoyable to play.
- Fixed a few of the later levels where the Safety Cube would not always spawn in the most usable location.
- Various minor state fixes and performance tweaks.
v1.0 _29-Dec-2008:
